Privacy on this site

This is a small family wishlist, and we try to collect as little as possible. Here is a plain description of how the site actually works.

Browsing

You don't need an account to use the site, and there is no sign-in. The site's own code doesn't include advertising or analytics trackers. The website host adds its own analytics and event scripts to each page, sets a technical security cookie, and keeps technical request logs. The page fonts load from Google Fonts.

When you claim a gift

• We save the name you type and which gift you claimed, plus when it was claimed and whether it was marked purchased.
• Your name is shown publicly on the Toy Wishlist as "Claimed by [name]" so others know the gift is taken. A first name or nickname is fine.
• To let you manage your own claim later, your browser makes a random code and keeps it in its own storage on that device. The site only keeps a scrambled (hashed) version of that code, which is never shown publicly.
• If you release your claim, your name is removed from that gift.

We don't ask for your email, phone number, address or payment details.

Stores and payment sites

Links to Amazon, Lovevery, Wayfair, Venmo and Rowdy's Trump Account contribution page take you to those outside websites. Anything you buy or send there is handled by that company under its own privacy policy and terms. This site doesn't receive your payment details or automatically verify purchases or donations made on those outside websites. If you mark a gift as purchased here, the wishlist saves that status.
